Menzies Aviation introduce Wireless Headsets to their Gatwick Operation<
AirRadio lead the procurement, project management and training for Menzies
12 October 2011: The summer is traditionally a very busy time for airlines and service companies supporting them and this year that has definitely been true for Menzies Aviation, who have seen their ground handling services expand across their London airport locations – Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton. Not only that but they have also embarked on a project to deploy CT-DECT wireless headsets at Gatwick to create a hands-free push-back process led by communications supplier AirRadio.
Over the last 6 Months AirRadio has supported Menzies and their airline clients and aircraft manufacturer Airbus during a trial of the headsets that enabled them to evaluate and understand both the wireless technology and the changes required to operational procedures before implementation.

ASIG Ground Handling joins AirRadio Trunk Community to support their Operations at London Heathrow
12 July 2011: ASIG Ground Handling, one the industry's largest independent providers of commercial aviation services, has become AirRadio's newest customer at London Heathrow. The move to AirRadio's network was driven by the requirement for greater functionality and reliability of communications as ASIG continues to expand their operations at London Heathrow, their largest in the UK.
AirRadio has provided ASIG with over 60 radio devices at Heathrow made up of hand-portables, desk and vehicle radios including specialist GMC (ground movement control) radios.

The move combines the strengths of TTG and C&C in the aviation sector and brings additional capabilities and services to TTG’s aviation portfolio, which already includes AirRadio, a leader in mobile radio solutions for airport and airline operations.

AirRadio Shows Support for National Apprenticeship Week

8 February 2011 – AirRadio is supporting National Apprenticeship Week (7 – 11 February) with current trainee, Robbie Dawes six months in to a two year engineering apprenticeship.
AirRadio’s apprenticeship offering is part of the initiative by parent company – Team Telecom Group (TTG) - which launched its apprenticeship scheme in 2009.

Sir David Brown Joins Team Telecom Group as Non-Executive Director

Apprentices join AirRadio and Team Simoco to develop skills in radio communications
05 October 2010: Telecommunications specialist Team Telecom Group has appointed two new apprentices - Robbie Dawes and Shane Bayley to help support the company's continuing global expansion and develop the skills of the UK's next generation of radio communications engineers.
Working directly with Team Telecom Group companies AirRadio and Team Simoco, the apprentices will be given the opportunity to work across various business departments, ranging from product development and operations to sales, marketing and finance.

AirRadio present collaborative decision making trial to AOA Operations & Safety conference
21 June 2010: John Evans, Business Development Director of AirRadio today addressed senior UK Airport executives attending the annual Airport Operators Association (AOA) Operations and Safety conference in Leeds on a ground breaking trial being undertaken in cooperation with Premiere Handling at Manchester Airport.
The trial, scheduled to commence in early July, will pilot 'Flight Movement Engine' (FME) an innovative real-time application created by Airport CDM to assist with operational decision making.

Team Telecom Group in 32.8m Management Buy-Out from Spice Plc
18 May 2010: On 17 May 2010 the shareholders of Spice Plc agreed the sale of Team Telecom Group as per the announcement of 26 April 2010.
26 April 2010: Team Telecom Group (TTG) has announced the exchange of contracts on a 32.8 million GBP management buy-out from its parent company Spice Plc. The new company will be led by current TTG CEO Mike Norfield and Chairman Peter Burridge. The deal was backed by Gresham Private Equity and HSBC.
TTG comprises four distinct but complementary businesses; Team Simoco and ComGroup based in Derby in the UK and in Victoria, Australia; AirRadio based in West Drayton Middlesex and Indigo Telecom Group based in Monmouthshire, Wales.

AirRadio provide ruggedised devices for H2O Job Track Project
June 09: H2O Water Services Ltd, providers of customer facing work on the UK water networks, has recently completed a project to develop a task allocation solution known as Job Track Enterprise with the assistance of IT providers Spice IT&T and communications specialists AirRadio.
H2O identified the need for a real-time workflow solution after being awarded a contract with United Utilities for maintenance services across the UK.
Spice IT&T created a bespoke application to meet H2O needs which will now be rolled-out across the team supporting United Utilities.
AirRadio were engaged by H2O to review, recommend and source devices appropriate for use by engineers undertaking operational tasks including the installation of water mains, household meter installation and maintenance and leakage detection and repairs.

Liberty Spice Gas Services Division selects Lunar Vehicle Tracking
June 09: Liberty, the Gas Services Division of Spice Plc comprising of several specialist companies including: Apollo Heating, ParGAS, GMT, Gas Call, Homerton Heating and Spice Gas Services, recently identified the need for a vehicle tracking solution for its fleet of service engineers.
Working with Spice procurement Liberty reviewed the marketplace and has selected Lunar Explorer to be provided by AirRadio. Lunar Explorer will enable Liberty companies to plan routes more efficiently, increase the number of tasks assigned to each vehicle per day and allocate emergency tasks/call-outs to vehicles nearest the site for rapid deployment. The reporting tools within Lunar allow for evaluation of fleet efficiency that can enable a reduction in future costs.
AirRadio will manage the installation and maintenance of the Lunar devices and provide ongoing support that includes first line desk-top support for operators using the tracking software, assistance with the conversion of paper based forms into electronic templates and mobile regional engineers handling fault reports, carrying out repair or replacement activities.

Inenco to join Spice Cellular Community having selected a variety of mobile solutions
June 09: Inenco will become the first of the Supply Services companies to join the Spice Plc cellular community at the end of June when 92 employees will move onto the Vodafone UK network. Inenco have also contracted for 55 Blackberrys to replace current XDA equipment in use for remote access to email. The final strand of mobile solutions for Inenco will be the subscription to a number of mobile broadband accounts that will enable Inencos users to access and complete company hosted documents remotely via their laptops which is an important part of their daily tasks.

Gate Aviation joins trunk community at John Lennon Liverpool Airport
May 09: Gate Aviation, providers of passenger handling services across the UK, recently won the contract for easyJet ground support services at Liverpool John Lennon Airport. In preparation for the new contract Gate Aviation required Ground to Ground and Ground to Air operational communications and approached AirRadio to deploy the same systems in use at their London Heathrow operation.

AirRadio partner Selcoms to provide wireless broadband solutions
3 March 2009: AirRadio Ltd and Selcoms today announce a strategic partnership to deliver point to point, point-to-multipoint and mesh wireless broadband solutions, including Motorola Canopy, to the aviation market and other mission critical industries.
AirRadio will use its experience of providing communications projects to manage the design and commissioning of wireless solutions sourced from Selcoms and then provide maintenance and support for installed equipment.

AirRadio wins support contract for BAA Radio Infrastructure at London Gatwick Airport
2 March 2009: AirRadio Ltd confirms it has been selected by BAA to provide maintenance and support services for their in-built (passive) radio infrastructure at London Gatwick Airport.
As part of a streamlining project at Gatwick, BAA purchased radio equipment owned by AirRadio, to ensure they now own all in-built infrastructure at the airport. Subsequently they awarded AirRadio a 5-year contract to provide support and maintenance services for the passive infrastructure in the South Terminal which includes directional amplifiers, leaky feeders and in-building antennas.

AirRadio and BAA Renew Letter of Agreement for Mobile Communications Services at BAAs UK Airports
19 January 2009: AirRadio Ltd confirms it has renewed its Letter of Agreement with BAA Airports Ltd extending it to November 2013. This Agreement for the supply of radio communications at BAAs seven UK airports helps to further expand the community of users on its trunk radio systems already established at each of BAAs airports. It will also provide BAA tenants with the opportunity to maximise the use of data applications for operational purposes at London Heathrow by subscribing to AirRadios new private digital business radio network AR-en.

Belfast City Airport deploys AirRadio Trunk Network to provide common platform for airport communications
5 February 2008: AirRadio Ltd today confirms the launch of a new community wireless trunk radio network at George Best Belfast City Airport. The selection of AirRadio comes after the airport operator "Belfast City Airport Limited" (BCA) awarded Aviance UK the airport Ground Handling Services contract in December 2007 to streamline operational processes. Aviance UK already use AirRadio systems at 14 of their UK airport locations, so the implementation of the system at Belfast City was paramount to the deployment of their uniform package of voice and data services to their operations team.
