AirRadio provides mobile voice and data communications in mission critical environments to airlines, airports and ground operation companies. Services include Ground Radio, Ground to Air Radio, HF Radio Station, Mobile Data services for local/wide area environments, cellular services and integrated applications for airport users.

The following vacancies exist at AirRadio:

MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERS

We now have vacancies for radio communications engineers responsible for the support and development of all products in our portfolio, with specific emphasis for the maintenance and support for all PMR/DMR, airband, mobile data solutions and analogue/digital trunk systems.

Whilst you will be offered in-house and supplier based product training you should have:

  • A sound technical understanding of mobile communications systems, services and devices
  • The ability to rework your technical experience into service and project solutions
  • Strong communications skills and be able to liaise with suppliers and support staff
  • Sound knowledge of IT products and applications
  • The ability to undertake shift working and call out duties
  • The self discipline necessary to work unsupervised
  • A flexibility to travel to UK Airports at short notice.

    You should be able to work well in a team environment be a good, clear communicator. Appreciate the importance and accept the discipline of good time management, quality processes and personal appearance.

    A recognised qualification in an electronic engineering or a communications related subject and at least five years experience in the radio communications industry are essential.

    SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER

    High profile sales role in a challenging environment. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a revenue target with the requirement to win new business and develop existing opportunities for AirRadio.

    The role requires communication, negotiation and management at all levels within the customer organisation and AirRadio, to develop and close new business opportunities and the ongoing support of service delivery into the customer base.

    Knowledge of and experience in the wireless communications market: analogue and digital trunk radio, cellular-based applications and devices, and wireless broadband.

    KEY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

    To provide Account Management to identified customer accounts in order to achieve personal sales targets, business growth and maintain customer satisfaction.

    KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    Sales performance

    • Achieve sales target through new business and growth of existing revenue base.
    • Proactively identify and develop new opportunities to sell AirRadio services.
    • Create and implement a structured sales plan to control sales activity
    • Provide accurate and timely information and forecasts including regular and ad-hoc reports as required by management

    Customer Focus

    • Be seen as the personal interface by customers at all levels, ensuring strong customer relations and resolving issues of customer dissatisfaction.
    • Maintain a thorough appreciation of customer’s business and strategies and propose solutions to add value for both current and future requirements. Aid customer in improving their competitive position.
    • To develop and execute an Account Development Plan for key accounts, maintain its relevance and meet the objectives it sets out.
    • Execute a contact strategy with each customer, maintaining a high level of contact within set timescales.
    • Ensure a high standard of conduct, leadership and service as an AirRadio sales professional in such a way as to result in customer satisfaction with AirRadio.
    • Promote customer confidence in AirRadio and self as a professional and competent supplier of communications services.
    • Maintain up to date knowledge of the air transport industry and its key industry drivers.

    Resource and Team Management

    • Liaise with customers, AirRadio colleagues and external suppliers to build relationships, collaborate and share in order to create customer value.
    • Balance customer advocacy with need to ensure business is right for AirRadio.
    • Participate in creating a team spirit and assist in the team’s overall achievement

    Personal Development

    • Maintain up to date knowledge of the wireless communications industry, products, competitors and commercial market.
    • Be jointly responsible for management of own training and development needs.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

    • Sales experience with track record of new customer acquisition and growth of existing customer revenue.
    • Ability to take sale from initial discussion to contract closure.
    • Ability and confidence to communicate, present and negotiate at all levels.
    • Knowledge of the wireless communication industry.
